Description

The prevention of transmissible infections during procedures using reusable flexible endoscopes depends upon strict adherence to processing guidelines for these complex devices. The AORN Guideline for Processing Flexible Endoscopes is in revision to ensure that perioperative professionals are provided with the most current evidence and recommended practices for processing these devices. This continuing education activity will provide an overview of how AORNs Guidelines are updated, insight into proposed changes to the guideline, and how perioperative professionals can provide feedback on the proposed changes.
